Drawing from life experiences, Dawn often uses her work to
communicate ideas of human nature, emotion, expression and
embrace. Including creating pieces inspired by the natural
environment, Dawn utilises diverse mediums to showcase her opinions in an abstract style.
Dawn ran Bakery Lane Gallery as an art space in Woodend, supporting emerging and established artists in solo and collaborative exhibitions. The contemporary gallery promoted over 70 artists within three years. Including events such as ‘Revive’ (2013) & ‘Purpose’ (2014) presented by Bakery Lane and the Sustainable Living Festival of Victoria. ‘Imagine’ (2013), visual and literature event, featuring author Peter Twohig’s novel ‘The Cartographer’. Bakery Lane Gallery was nominated for several business awards.
Now in collaboration with Bress Winery Bakery Lane Gallery continues its story curating 2D art pieces in the winery and exhibiting sculpture within the grounds.
